Volunteer Opportunities
There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available to parents at Saint Joseph Catholic School. There is something for everyone and we encourage parents to enjoy the many prospects offered as a way of becoming involved with your child’s school. The school strives to provide something to fit everyone’s schedule, and each of our committee chairs will happily coordinate with you so that you can volunteer for your school.
Standing Committees

HOMEROOM PARENT: assist teacher with class parties, field trips, etc.

TEACHER APPRECIATION: provide monthly meals for teachers, gift, Baskets organize Christmas lunch, and other events for teachers and staff

SUNSHINE: Teams of 3 or 4 provide meals for families in need

PLAYGROUND: Assist teachers in supervising children during recess

LIBRARY: shelve books on a weekly basis, assist with book fairs as needed

ART: Assist Mr. Bramhall as needed

CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION: Maintain potted plants and assist with seasonal planting, decorating

FAMILY MENTORS: Welcome new families to the school and provide them with updates and information throughout the year as necessary

YEARBOOK: Assist teachers by taking photos of events and happenings

Please note: All individuals who volunteer in the school must complete the Volunteer Screening packet and will be asked to complete the Diocesan mandated background check. You may print the Volunteer Screening packet or pick one up in the school office. Additionally, all volunteers and employees of Saint Joseph Catholic School must complete the online safe environment curriculum, "Safe Haven - It's Up to You".
