Director of Communications
Saint Joseph Catholic School
Saint Joseph Catholic School, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is currently accepting applications for a part-time Director of Communications. The responsibilities of this position include managing external communications, such as school website, social media, and advertising. The director will also assist the principal in communicating internally with staff and school families. Additionally, he/she will help develop special projects like photo and video shoots, commercials, and promotional items. He/she will also be involved in planning, tracking, and collecting for the Annual Fund and PTO sponsorships. This position is part of the school administration team.
Ideal candidates should possess strong writing, copy-editing, and organizational skills across multiple platforms and an understanding of digital marketing campaigns and website content design. Preferred applicants will have previous experience in communications, marketing, or development.
The position hours will be between 20 and 30 hours a week.

Director of Extended Care
Saint Joseph Catholic School
Saint Joseph Catholic School, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Extended Care. The position’s responsibilities include supervising the extended daily care program for 180 school days in addition to the ten professional and selected no-school days from August to June. The position will also oversee the Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer Camp programs. The individual is responsible for hiring and managing the extended care staff and Assistant Director in all sessions. The individual will work with the school’s Bookkeeper on monthly billing and ordering snacks and supplies.
Applicants should have an understanding of the Catholic faith and be able to build a program that upholds and builds upon the school’s mission. Preferred applicants will have previous teaching or childcare experience.

Instructional Assistant
Saint Joseph Catholic School
Saint Joseph Catholic School, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is accepting applications for a qualified full-time Instructional Assistant. The position’s responsibilities include providing classroom support to the students and helping the lead teacher develop dynamic lessons, class projects and activities that enhance the student’s academic, social, and spiritual needs. The selected applicant will run a small group learning station under the supervision of the lead teacher. The position will supervise lunch and or recess duty daily. In addition, the position also has a variety of clerical activities and related tasks to support the teacher and students.
